Before we had our first little boy Elliot I used to make so many pairs of crochet baby booties and slippers for others as gifts and would love to see them in use. Everyone knows I love designing and making crochet baby blankets but it was the booties I desperately wanted to make for any little one that we might have.
I’m sharing the pattern for these cute little Reindeer Crochet Baby Booties so that you can all make them for your little loved ones too. They aren’t as tricky as they might look, the entire boot in made in one piece and then the reindeer face is constructed separately and added afterwards. They come in two sizes – 6-12 months and 12-24 months.
You can carry on reading to find the free pattern here in this blogpost or purchase an ad-free, printable PDF version of the Reindeer Crochet Baby Booties Pattern in my pattern store to download and print.
Designing and Making the Crochet Baby Booties
We had to have IVF to have Elliot and throughout the entire time I managed to stay focussed by thinking about the boots I might be able to make for whoever turned up if we got lucky.
We got so very lucky and I’m so happy that I can make slippers and boots galore for our beautiful little boy. I think that especially at this time of year crafting is about pouring your heart and soul into it and whilst these little reindeer crochet boots aren’t the most sophisticated things I’ve ever designed, Elliot absolutely loves them!
In my book, that’s all that really matters. So who cares if they are a bit wonky because I rushed to finish them one evening so that he could try the other one on too?! They were made with love and the fact that he constantly parades around the house in them seems to say he loves them too.
